AMERICA WINS WITH WATER

From the public pools to the lakes, rivers, and streams that connect our 50 states; from the farms across the heartland to the drinking water flowing from our taps — protecting water is about protecting America, plain and simple.

BUT AMERICA'S GREATEST RESOURCE IS AT RISK.

The vast network of pipes, treatment plants, and watersheds that deliver this critical American resource is aging and under strain. That threatens the food on our tables, the health of our families, and the survival of our small businesses.

But we can change that by tapping into the resources made available by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to invest in better, stronger, and healthier water infrastructure across the nation.

These historic investments accelerate years of vital work on our nation’s water infrastructure and we can’t back away now. Our leaders must protect these essential investments in America’s precious water systems, and expand them where they can.

FAQs

Thanks to these investments, communities across the nation are working on water projects at the local, regional, and state level. This includes removing millions of lead pipes in cities, restoring depleted fish populations in threatened creeks and rivers, restoring wetlands and planting trees to protect against storms, updating irrigation systems for farmers, and upgrading water treatment facilities to make sure your family has clean, safe drinking water.

Investing in water infrastructure is investing in America’s future. It ensures:
– Safe drinking water for our families
– Reliable water sources for our farms and food production
– Job creation and economic growth
– Healthier ecosystems and wildlife
– More protection against droughts and floods, and resilience against the impacts of climate change

87% of voters are concerned about outdated water infrastructure. The pipes, plants, and systems that bring clean water to our communities are crucial, and action is needed now from our elected leaders to make it happen.
